Turn overgrown ground into something you can use: a building site, a lane you can drive, a fence row you can see, a field edge back in grass. The topsoil stays, and there are no burn piles. We're based right here in Centerburg.

Ground that's ready for its next use. A spot for a building set back from the road. A lane to the shop or the back field that's open again. A fence row turned back into a fence. A field edge you can mow. The brush and small trees are mulched and left in place, and the topsoil stays where it is. No dozed berm, no stump pile, no burn pile.
Most residential jobs take one to three days. You'll know the plan and the price before we start.
We mulch brush and trees up to about 6 inches across where they stand, and up to about 8 inches with more time. The machine is a tracked skid steer with a mulching head. Bigger trees get marked on the walk so they can be dealt with first if the plan needs it.
Lot clearing and site preparation cover building sites. Fence line clearing covers the fence. Right-of-way clearing covers lanes. If you only want the back woods opened and the big trees kept, that's forestry mulching in Centerburg.
We don't dig foundations. If a builder later needs the mulch pulled back to dig, that's their step, and we'll tell you where our part ends.
Expect a few stumps to try to resprout. That's normal, and you won't be on your own with it. We cover the plan before the job and again after: mow it with your own equipment or spot-spray the right herbicide, and let grass fill in and crowd the invasives out for good.
A fence row with wire still in it goes slower, so we look for the wire before we promise a pace.
We pick the day based on the ground. The higher fields here firm up after rain long before the creek bottom does, so a lane that crosses both might need to wait. We also hold off in very dry spells, when the mulching head is a fire risk.
Centerburg is a village of under a square mile in Hilliar Township, Knox County. Most land clearing here happens on township acreage around the village, off US-36 and SR-3, not on in-town lots.
The North Fork of the Licking River runs along the east side of town, and the village's plan notes a floodplain there (Centerburg strategic plan). Open fence rows here fill with multiflora rose, autumn olive, and locust. Shadier ground near the river fills with honeysuckle.
Burning the brush instead is harder than it sounds. Ohio bans most open burning outside town limits from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. in March, April, May, October, and November (ODNR). Mulch doesn't wait for a burn window.
