Open up the part of your Granville property you actually want cleared, like a homesite, a lane, a view, or a fence line, and leave the oaks and hickories you bought it for. The roots stay in the slope, and there are no burn piles.
Thanks. We'll call to set up a time to walk the property.
We'll see you at the property. A confirmation is on its way to your email.

A defined piece of your property opened up for a use, with the rest of the woods left alone. That could be a lane from the road to a building site, a view opened on one side of the house, a fence line between two lots that's turned into a wall of multiflora rose, or an old pasture below the hill that grew up after the animals left.
The brush is mulched and left on the ground. The roots stay in the slope. On hillside ground, that's the difference between a usable site and a washout.
Most residential jobs take one to three days. The plan and the price come first.
We mulch the understory and the trees you mark with a tracked skid steer and a mulching head. It handles stems up to about 6 inches across, and up to about 8 inches with more time. We don't doze the hill down to subsoil.
Lot clearing fits when a homesite needs a pad and a working area. Tree line pushback fits when the woods have crept into a field. If you want the whole woods made walkable instead of a defined area cleared, tell us. That's selective work, and we'll scope it that way.
We flag the keep-trees with you on the walk. Flagging tape works better than "keep the big ones."
Expect a few stumps to try to resprout. That's normal, and you won't be on your own with it. We cover the plan before the job and again after: mow it with your own equipment or spot-spray the right herbicide, and let grass fill in and crowd the invasives out for good.
Hillside driveways and creek bottoms decide the schedule. If a lane can't take the machine without damage, we'll say so before booking. If a bottom would rut, we move the day. We also hold off in very dry spells, when the mulching head is a fire risk in the leaf litter.
Granville is a Licking County village on SR-16 and SR-37, home to Denison University, with Raccoon Creek running through the valley. Lots on the village streets are usually too tight and too finished for this kind of work. Most of the calls are acreage in Granville Township, often on hillsides or along the creek.
Those two kinds of ground are different jobs. The hillsides usually have oaks and hickories worth keeping and honeysuckle underneath. The creek bottoms are wetter after rain and more likely to be solid thicket from the bank back to the field.
