Get your Mount Vernon ground working again: a lot cleared for building, a fence that holds animals, a lane to the barn, a field edge back in crops. The brush is mulched in place, the topsoil stays, and there are no burn piles.
Thanks. We'll call to set up a time to walk the property.
We'll see you at the property. A confirmation is on its way to your email.

Ground with a next use. A lot opened up without a berm of pushed stumps. A fence you can see and repair. A lane you can drive. A field edge that's stopped losing ground to the woods every year. Brush and small trees are mulched and left in place, and the topsoil isn't scraped into a pile.
Most residential jobs take one to three days. The plan and the price come first.
We mulch brush and trees up to about 6 inches across, and up to about 8 inches with more time, using a tracked skid steer with a mulching head. Bigger trees get marked for a tree service first. If a builder needs the mulch moved later to dig, that's their step.
Lot clearing and site preparation fit parcels on the edge of town where someone's about to build. Fence line clearing fits the farm fence row, which here is often multiflora rose, locust, and a wire you can't see. Right-of-way clearing fits a long lane off a township road. Tree line pushback fits a crop field losing ground along the woods.
If what you want is food plots or shooting lanes, that's hunting land management, not a full clear.
Some stumps will try to resprout. That's normal, and you won't be on your own with it. Before the job and again after, we'll walk you through keeping regrowth in check, whether that's mowing it with your own equipment or spot-spraying the right herbicide, until grass fills in and crowds the invasives out for good.
We don't price from acreage alone. We walk the property first. Floodplain that would rut, a bank too slick to work safely, or a very dry spell when the mulching head is a fire risk are all reasons to move the day.
Mount Vernon is the Knox County seat on US-36, a short drive east of our Centerburg base. The Kokosing River runs through town. Jobs inside the city are usually lots. Outside it, in the townships, they're mostly farm fence rows, lanes, and field edges. The Knox County page covers the wider area.
Along the Kokosing, we clear the brush on higher ground and stop at the riverbank and any setback. The roots stay, because the next high water will test the bank. The understory along the river is mostly bush honeysuckle. Idle farm ground fills with autumn olive and multiflora rose. In town, Callery pear spreads from old ornamental trees into empty lots.
