Right-of-way clearing removes trees, brush, and vegetation from utility corridors, pipeline easements, road access routes, and other linear paths — quickly and cleanly with forestry mulching.

The Problem

What You're Dealing With

Utility companies, pipeline operators, and road maintenance crews all need clear access corridors. Overgrown right-of-ways block access for maintenance vehicles, hide infrastructure that needs inspection, and create fire hazards during dry seasons. Brush and tree growth along pipeline easements can also violate federal safety regulations.

Traditional right-of-way clearing uses heavy equipment or chemical spraying, both of which have significant drawbacks. Bulldozers damage the ground surface and create erosion. Herbicides affect surrounding vegetation and waterways. Both approaches are expensive and disruptive.

Who This Is For

Is This Service Right for You?

Right-of-way clearing is for utility companies, pipeline operators, municipalities, and private landowners who need to maintain access corridors. Whether it's a gas pipeline easement, a power line corridor, a road access route, or a drainage channel, we clear the vegetation efficiently and leave the ground surface intact.

We work with both commercial clients and private landowners across Knox, Licking, Delaware, Franklin, and Morrow counties who need corridor clearing on their property.

Our Approach

How We Handle It

We run the skid steer along the corridor, mulching everything in the machine's path. The standard clearing width is 10 to 30 feet depending on the easement requirements, but we can go wider or narrower. The mulching head grinds brush, saplings, and trees right down to the soil, leaving a clean strip of mulch.

For corridors that need to be maintained long-term, the mulch layer suppresses regrowth for the first season and makes subsequent maintenance passes faster and cheaper. We can follow GPS waypoints, flagged routes, or existing corridor markers.

Why Forestry Mulching

Why This Method Beats the Alternatives

Herbicide spraying kills vegetation but leaves it standing — dead brush still needs to be cleared. Bulldozing clears everything but tears up the ground and creates erosion. Forestry mulching does both jobs at once: it removes the vegetation and leaves a ground-covering mulch layer that prevents erosion and suppresses regrowth.

For linear corridors, mulching is dramatically faster than hand clearing or chemical treatment. We clear several hundred feet per hour in moderate brush, making it the most cost-effective option for long corridors.

What to Expect

Your Experience from Quote to Completion

Right-of-way projects start with a conversation about the corridor length, width requirements, and any access restrictions. We can work from easement maps, GPS coordinates, or a walk-through with your field crew.

On site, we work linearly along the corridor, clearing as we go. Progress is fast and visible. Most corridor projects take one to three days depending on length and density. When we're done, the corridor is clean, accessible, and ready for maintenance vehicles or inspection crews.

The End Result

What Your Property Looks Like After

The corridor is clear and accessible. Brush, saplings, and small trees are ground into a flat layer of mulch that covers the ground surface. The corridor is immediately passable for maintenance vehicles and inspection crews. The mulch layer suppresses regrowth and makes future maintenance passes faster and less expensive.
