What you end up with

The part the builder never finished, finally done. A vacant lot opened up between houses. The back half of a parcel cleared to match the front. An old fence row turned back into a clean property line. A shared drive or access easement you can use again. Brush and small trees become coarse mulch on your ground. No pile gets dragged out past the neighbors, and no topsoil gets stripped.

Most residential jobs take one to three days. You get the plan and the price first.

What the work includes

We mulch brush, saplings, and trees up to about 6 inches across, and up to about 8 inches with more time, using a tracked skid steer with a mulching head. We're not a bulldozer crew. If a builder later needs the mulch pulled back for a foundation, that's a grading step after us.

Lot clearing is for opening a whole vacant parcel. Site preparation is for clearing before other trades show up. Fence line clearing is for old farm wire buried in locust and rose. Right-of-way clearing is for a shared drive or easement. If you want to keep a wooded buffer and just make it walkable, see forestry mulching in Orange Township.

The machine stays on your side of the line. Stakes or flags on the property line work better than a description, and we confirm the line on the walk.

After the job

Some stumps will try to sprout back. That's normal, and we don't leave you to figure it out. Before the job and again after, we'll go over how to keep regrowth in check, by mowing it with your own equipment or spot-spraying the right herbicide, until grass fills in and crowds the invasives out for good.

What we won't promise

Wet draws rut easily, so soft ground moves the day. We also hold off in very dry late-summer weather, when the mulching head is a fire risk. We won't clear stream corridors or areas platted as open space or no-build. We check that with you before scheduling.

Around Orange Township

Orange Township is an unincorporated township in southern Delaware County. It includes Lewis Center and borders Alum Creek State Park. Much of its old farmland has become neighborhoods like Evans Farm, and the leftover pieces are where land clearing comes in: lots between houses, unfinished back acres, and old fence rows.

Because it's unincorporated, both the township and Delaware County can have rules that apply, depending on the parcel. Cul-de-sacs and finished driveways affect where we park and unload, so we plan the approach on the estimate.

FAQ

Land Clearing questions in Orange Township

Yes. Lewis Center is in the township, and a lot of the calls are vacant parcels or the uncleared acre beside a finished house. We clear brush and smaller trees to the use you describe. We do not build the house, dig the foundation, or grade the street.
They overlap in equipment and they are not the same result. Land clearing opens ground for a use, such as a pad, a lane, or a lot line. Forestry mulching in the township is the page for wooded buffers and creek understory you want to keep as woods. Tell us which result you want and we will use the right scope.
The machine stays on your side of the line, and the material becomes mulch on your ground instead of a pile we drag out past the neighbor. Stakes or flags on the line are worth more than a description. We confirm the boundary on the walk.
Orange Township is unincorporated, so Delaware County is in the picture along with the township. A typical private clear away from a stream is straightforward. Drainageways, open-space easements, and anything platted as a no-build area are not. We read that with you before we schedule.
